Friends of the New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to supporting the adult students of the NHBCOS. Our funding comes from many sources: dues of our active members and contributions from members, friends, charitable foundations, and businesses along with fund raising events such as our recently successful Cook Book drive, performances by some of our ensemble groups, and ticket proceeds from our concerts.

As a 501(c)(3) educational corporation, all gifts may qualify for tax deductions

Over 90% of our revenue goes to support the musical activities of band students, enabling adults to learn and perform music at all levels. Since its beginning, most members of the bands and many non-members have joined this wonderful organization to support it and its goals:

bullet To provide gifts, grants, and awards to students as they increase their musical abilities.

bullet To give an annual gift to the First Evangelical Free Church for the generous use of their facilities which they provide for the bands free of charge for rehearsals and concerts.

bullet To provide support for the Band Director, administrator, guest conductors, and tuition aid nominees.

bullet To fund classes, seminars, concerts, and public performances.

bullet To purchase music, certain musical instruments and equipment, and host workshops and a possible band camp in Colorado Springs.

We sincerely hope that you will join with us in this unique and worthwhile endeavor. Just fill out The Membership Application and mail it with your check for $20.00 to the address on the form. These dues cover the 12-month period beginning with the date paid. Your help is needed and appreciated. You may even consider joining one of the bands within New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs (NHBCOS).
